Giclée : (French term, "a spraying of ink.")
In this exciting era of technology, Giclée exemplifies a happy blending of science and the arts. In 1991, it was discovered that high-resolution ink-jet printers used in the commercial graphics industry could be adapted to the fine art industry. Several factors have made this an irresistible process for Jon Crane's reproductions.

- Giclées are printed on the highest quality watercolor paper almost identical to the actual paper on which the artist paints. These Iris Giclées are printed on Somerset Watercolor Paper, 100% cotton fiber, 500 grams textured.

- Inks used are transparent, replicating the transparent watercolors used by the artist.

- New generation inks, only recently available, ensure longevity of the prints which compares favorably with other printing techniques. Lysonic Fine Arts Inks with High-Stability, H-005 Yellow Ink with 65-75 years print display time before noticeable fading occurs under 450 degrees LUX (office light) conditions were used in printing these Giclées.

- Smaller edition sizes enhance the long-term value of the prints.

This new product is intriguing because of its compelling beauty and faithfulness to the original art.
